Train Hard Recover Smart

  • Sleep 7-9 hours per night.

  • Drink half you body weight in ounces of water per day.

  • Eat as close to the Earth as possible. Limit processed foods as much as possible.

  • Make time to cook for yourself.

  • Create a post run, ride, climb, paddle or training session relaxation routine. This can be gentle foam rolling, stretching or movement, easy walk for a few min post run.

  • Always eat a snack or meal within an hour after a challenging workout or Outdoor Activity.

  • Take at least one day per week where you do not do structured activity/training. This is called a rest day and on this day you can do a restorative activity like yoga, stretching or an easy hike.

  • Be patient. Adaptations take time and are dependent on lifestyle, athletic experience and genetics.

Along the road to becoming more fit for the Outdoors the athletes journey will involve an increased level of training. Elite athletes, pro guides, weekend warriors and local legends all know that they have to consider not just their workouts but their bodies’ ability to recovery from them too.

To help our athletes with sore, stiff and achy muscles we offer Sports Massage and Recovery Sessions.

Sport Massage & Deep Tissue Massage

Sports massage is proven to help release and reduce tension in muscles, improve circulation and encourage the removal of waste products post high intensity activity and can help to relax the body. Sport massage also helps promote recovery and reduces the chance of muscle injury.

Deep Tissue massage is often administered as a full body massage, rather than focusing on a specific area of the body.

What's the difference between a Deep Tissue Massage and Sports Massage?

*Sports massage, on the other hand, is a targeted massage approach that focuses on specific areas of the body that are in need of healing or relief.
